Electronic Groove en Español celebrates 3 years with a special mix by Hernan Cattaneo

Electronic Groove en Español is proud to mark its first three years of existence with a very special podcast, courtesy of Hernan Cattaneo, who made his debut on our EGE series. This memorable installment featured a premiere audio broadcast via our Facebook channels.

An integral part of our multimedia offers, our weekly editions of the EGE podcast are a classic among our loyal fans. Exhibiting carefully curated music by some of the greatest exponents of the electronic scene in the region, the cycle has been blessed with the participation of artists such as Mariano Mellino, Barem, Graziano Raffa, German Brigante, Paula OS, Ella Romand, Nicolas Rada, Simply City, among several others. Now, it is a great privilege for Electronic Groove en Español to feature an in-house favorite.

With over 30 years of experience, Hernan Cattaneo has marveled crowds with his marathon sets at some of the most iconic venues and festivals across the world, including Tomorrowland, Burning Man, Stereo Montreal, Woodstock 69, Womb, just to name a few; and his body of work includes some cornerstones of the progressive realm, like his highly-acclaimed mixes for Balance and Renaissance, proving to be a fundamental figure and a worldwide ambassador of the sound.

Still flying high after his ‘Sunsetstrip’ in Buenos Aires, and its subsequent online edition via streaming, the Argentine DJ and producer delivers one of his characteristic progressive journeys that bend and blur the line between genres. With the experience of a lifetime at the top of the game, but with a sense of wonder forged by his underground roots, ‘El Maestro’ sways and maneuvers with unmatched grace through a mix heavy on future classics.

We know that, unfortunately, the current situation caused by the COVID-19 outbreak has affected our community and scene that we love so much. Still, we hope that this special delivery of our EGE 130 will help lift your spirits during this delicate time. While we wait to meet again at festivals and dancefloors, Electronic Groove en Español will continue to inform, provide various content, and keep our Spanish-speaking scene and its artists connected, as it has throughout these three years.
