Since 1911, every March 8th, people all over the world celebrate International Women’s Day, a day in which is all about unity, celebration, reflection, advocacy, and action. Since then, women have come a long way in their quest for gender equality. We know there is still a long way to go, but the ladies have been taking giant steps in every aspect, and music is not the exception.
In electronica, there have never been as many behind the decks as today. Or the studios for that matter as well. From headlining some of the largest festivals in the world with their own productions to rocking out in clubs, or DJ schools, they are everywhere. And in order to celebrate properly on their day, here at Electronic Groove, we have picked 10 of our latest mixes by female artists.
