Panorama Bar Resident Dinky has just announced that she will be releasing her new full length album ‘Valor’ on the prestigious Crosstown Rebels label.
Chilean born and Berlin based Dinky AKA Alejandra Iglesias is a trained classical guitarist, singer and keyboard player. She and Damian Lazarus have been friends for many years, leading to many singles and compilations on his Crosstown Rebels label. “We have worked together on some pretty special projects in that time, but this new album is by far the most exciting yet.”
The album ‘Valor’ tells a deeply personal narrative for Dinky. Tracks such as the driving single ‘Casa’ was called out by NPR for its “gorgeously layered vocals.” Another track titled “Milk” has fragile layers of guitar and synths which make bold unions between electronics and Dinky’s live instrumentation.
For the special occasion she prepared a mini-mix that features five unreleased tracks. The LP is due for release September 20th on Crosstown Rebels.
