Fleck E.S.C.’s ‘Roundup’ is a dark, pounding and highly effective four and a half minutes of off-kilter electro missiles. The song features as part of Fleck’s forthcoming six-track EP ‘Shelters’, which will be released on the London-based label untitled (recs). As a whole, the EP delivers a capacious blend of textures—at times delicate and expansive (e.g. ‘Shelters’, ‘Skins & Scales’), at others assertive and grinding (e.g. ‘KVFM, ‘Roundup’). Together, this strikes a balance between deep club cuts and listening session tracks.
