Loose Records in one of Italy’s leading techno labels with a long history of releases, often from underground artists who have links to the Italian club scene such as Luigi Madonna, Uto Karem and Hollen.
One of label’s favored artists is Stiv Hey, who’s heavy DJ support from Dubfire eventually lead to him releasing on SCI+TEC, and the original tracks from his new one on Loose Records have already picked up set lists from Richie Hawtin.
Thundering and euphoric is hard to pull off, but Stiv Hey is a man who has proved he has the skills required to manage it, as both the original tracks on this Techno release mix an uplifting melody with dark atmosphere and tough percussion.
Adding to the EP is a remix from UK pairing Spektre, who bring out the toughness of the EP’s lead track ‘Memories’ and provide a hard remix perfect for sweaty dancefloors.
The release has quality written all over it and would not sound out of place in DJ sets from the likes of Adam Beyer or Charlotte de Witte.
