“‘Welcome Them’ is a journey that starts within our race and ends on open possibilities of a new world.”
The latest in microCastle’s free download series comes from label artist Brian Cid. The NYC-based producer is coming off his third project for the highly touted Canadian imprint. ‘Pluto’, released earlier this year, featured three organic, groovy and sonically distinctive creations, along with a magical twelve-minute remix from Italian duo Marvin & Guy. The EP earned play and support from DJ Tennis, Roman Flügel, Adriatique, Amé, Damian Lazarus, Guy J, Hernan Cattaneo, Gardens Of God and more; while reaching #1, #2 and #3 in Beatport’s indie dance, electronica, progressive house and deep house charts respectively. A remarkable collection from one of the underground’s fastest rising stars.
The label’s free download series, although infrequent, showcases some outstanding material and was setup to give something back to the fans who passionately follow the imprint and their artists. The latest installment showcases one of Brian’s most sought after, unreleased tracks entitled ‘Welcome Them’. Frequently asked for during his live shows, the US producer channels supernatural moods and dusty, desert motifs for the ultimate sonic fusion. As he describes, “This is the moment humans connect with intergalactic beings. A mellow fantasy of red lights, slowly pulsating while covered in fog between dark valleys. A joyful celebration for this long awaited encounter creates the backdrop for a beat that slowly swells into snare thunders and rolling bass. ‘Welcome Them’ is a journey that starts within our race and ends on open possibilities of a new world.”
‘Welcome Them’ is available now through the microCastle Soundcloud.
