Deltawerk share some of their favorite tracks

Deltawerk is a new collaborative project by Pascal Terstappen (Applescal) & Hessel Stuut (Polynation). A dynamically electronic duo whom when united create human and lucid music, which feels as much at home in an underground rave as it does in an open-air live performance.

Deltawerk is about to release their new ‘Passages’ album on AtomnationOn the special occasion we asked them some of their favorite tunes.

1. Portable Sunsets – Hyperstability (Atomnation)

“Such a creative and odd track. Most of the synths are also vocals but processed in a way they sound like synths. The pop approach and groove make this track a perfect one to open or even close a night with.”

2. Wehbba – View of Delft (Systematic Recordings)

“The use of acoustic drums and complex moving synths give the track a nice live feel, it has some resemblance in sound with Polynation.”

3. Endian – XS-10 (Secretsundaze Records)

“Not sure which genre this could be placed, as it uses so many old school sounds. Like the ongoing vibe and groove of this track, perfect for transitions.”

4. Dark Sky – Cyan (Monkeytown Records)

“Love the warmth of the synths of all Dark Sky productions, and this one in particular. It has a beautiful atmosphere and subtle vibe whilst maintaining drive. Solid work.”

5. Ross From Friends – In An Emergency (Lobster Theremin)

“Lobster lo-fi at it’s best from the UK.”

6. Tim Engelhardt – Energy Transfer (Pokerflat Recordings)

“Good set opener with an open synth sequence with some movement, the kick comes halfway the track followed by that slightly off shaker.”

7. Innellea – Lillith (Upon You Records)

“What happens after the break of this track is fantastic. So much power and everything changes.”

8. Andhim – Mond (Jimi Jules Remix)(Superfriends Records)

“Production-wise a sexy track, love the use of sounds and that drop after the German vocal kicks in hard.”

9. Herbie Hancock – Nobu (Olaf Stuut edit)

“This groovy edit from our brother and friend can give a warmed up dancefloor a nice twist, extremely driving track that goes everywhere and nowhere, love it.”

10. Max Cooper & Tom Hodge – Symmetry (Vessels Remix)(Mesh)

“Long lines, deep melodies with glitchy sound give this remix an absorbing feel. Max Cooper and Vessels all time favourites!”
