Spotify has announced a major expansion of its music video streaming service. The Swedish audio streaming giant has rolled out this feature to 85 additional markets, building upon its initial beta launch earlier this year.

The original beta version, introduced in March 2024, was available to Premium subscribers in 12 countries, including the UK, Germany, Italy, and Brazil. Now, Spotify is dramatically increasing its reach, though the complete list of new markets remains undisclosed.

For Premium subscribers in these newly added regions, music videos will now appear in search results. However, Spotify has noted that the video catalog is still “limited” at this stage. Notably, the United States is not among the countries included in this expansion.

Premium subscribers can look for a “Switch to video” option on song pages in their Spotify app. This feature enhances the music experience by combining audio and visuals.

Spotify’s data suggests music videos boost user engagement. The company reports that songs discovered with videos are 24% more likely to be saved or shared within a week. This highlights how music videos can enhance discovery and interaction on the platform.
