Sónar+D is set to make waves in the Middle East as it joins Gitex Global 2024, the world’s largest tech and startup event. From October 13th to 18th, the Barcelona-based creative technology platform will showcase cutting-edge activities and installations in Dubai.
The event will feature an open exhibition area where visitors can explore seven projects at the custom Project Area, part of the Expand North Star startup program. These installations will offer hands-on experiences with the latest advancements in AI-driven sound design, digital art, animation, and data visualization. Notable projects include contributions from Datamind Audio, Krea.ai, and a special showcase by Arts Korea Lab.
On October 14th, representatives from these innovative projects will take the stage for live presentations. They’ll be joined by the BSC Data Viz Group from the Barcelona Supercomputing Center, a long-standing collaborator of Sónar+D, enriching the program with their expertise in data visualization.
On October 18th, Eric Prydz will present ‘HOLO,’ a breathtaking audio-visual experience making its MENA region debut. Set in the Expo City Arena, this closing show will merge Prydz’s acclaimed music with state-of-the-art 3D holographic projections.
This collaboration with Gitex Global marks a significant milestone for Sónar+D, bringing innovative creative technology to a wider audience.
