Vladan Krstic, known professionally as KICA, has released his latest single ‘2 AM’ on his own imprint, KICA Records. The track emerged from an unexpected burst of creativity during a late-night studio session, capturing the essence of those twilight hours when inspiration strikes.
Inspired by late-night creativity and electronic music icons like Ricardo Villalobos and Carl Cox, ‘2 AM’ showcases minimal tech artistry. The track begins with a captivating primal beat and driving bassline. As it progresses, glitch synths, vocal samples, and atmospheric pads layer in.
Describing the creative process, KICA shared, “‘2 AM’ is more than just a track—it’s a moment captured in time. While playing ‘Better Life,’ I felt a sudden surge of creativity. As I played the bassline, the first four notes unveiled a completely new song. Before I knew it, I was immersed in creating this track. It all came together at 2 AM.”
