Dennis Ferrer has announced the launch of his new label, Thriftshoppe, in collaboration with Defected Records. This New York City-based imprint aims to bring a fresh perspective to the global music scene. The imprint’s debut release, ‘Fit Check,’ by Nasser Baker, is already available.
Thriftshoppe aims to counteract the global trend of overproduction, overconsumption, and instant gratification. Instead, it seeks to reintroduce listeners to the magic of slow burners and future classics.
Following his successful 2024 releases on Defected and RAWthentic, Nasser’s ‘Fit Check’ exemplifies his distinct style, featuring original vocals and a club-ready vibe. The production choices align perfectly with Thriftshoppe’s core values.
With Ferrer’s keen ear for quality dance records, Thriftshoppe prioritizes sustainability and longevity over genre expectations and hype. Future plans include live events and releases from top house music names.
