Los Angeles-based DJ and producer, Airrica, has just made her Crosstown Rebels debut with ‘Hi Speed Lover’. This follows her initial introduction on the sister label, Rebellion. The EP features two original tracks, each complemented by a remix.
‘Hi Speed Lover’ is a bass-heavy, groove-infused track that blends warped vocals with rhythmic drums and resonant strings. Nick Morgan lends a distinctive touch to the remix, adding a hazy glow with dubby low-ends and soft keys. ‘Cherries’, the second original track, combines metallic beats with subtle vocals and an acid-infused bassline. KinAhau’s remix, on the other hand, offers a refined journey through rich textures, providing an ethereal close to the EP.
Airrica’s tracks, inspired by the thrill of dance floor unity, capture moments of heightened energy. In ‘Hi Speed Lover’, she uses Jazz Alonso’s powerful vocals and experiments with her voice in ‘Cherries’.
