Bicep, consisting of Andy Ferguson and Matt McBriar, have recently unveiled a new addition to their CHROMA project. This piece, titled ‘Bi83’, was launched under their lesser-known alias, DOVE.

This track encapsulates a more profound and tranquil aspect of Bicep’s music, showcasing an evolution in their sound. Making its debut at the renowned Coachella festival, ‘Bi83’ begins with an ethereal introduction, later morphing into a robust, acid-inspired synth progression.

“DOVE will hopefully be a place where we can put more singular ideas down, less focused on complete songs and more on experimental concepts we work on in the studio,” they say. “For example, this first release was about restricting ourselves to human voices and acid to make the majority of sounds.”

Bicep has also launched a captivating 30-minute short film titled CHROMAVISION, in parallel with the release of ‘Bi83’. This film, enriched with an exclusive CHROMA soundtrack, made its debut at a fully-booked LA party, a collaborative effort with Zak Norman, David Rudnick, and Brain Dead.

Following their successful collaboration with Benjamin Damage on ‘L.A.V.A’, ‘Bi83’ finds its place as part of the multifaceted CHROMA project, which encompasses a record label, meticulously curated events, and a distinctive visual identity.
