Indie-electronic pop group Metronomy is preparing to release its new project, ‘Posse EP Vol. 2,’ via Ninja Tune on July 12th, 2024. The first glimpse into this collaborative work is the recently released single, ‘With Balance,’ featuring Naima Bock and Joshua Idehen.
‘With Balance’ is a delicate ballad that melds pastel guitar notes with the soft vocals of Bock and Idehen, resulting in a striking blend of sound and lyricism. Alongside the new cut is an engaging video, produced by Wieden+Kennedy, Immigrant Studio, and Wake The Town.
“This video is the perfect visual extension of the Posse E.P ethos” says Mount. “It’s another step in the collaborative process of making the song and I love how it highlights new artists and ideas. I also love it when I’m not in a video because I can enjoy it the same way that everyone else does.”
‘Posse EP Volume 2’ includes further collaborations with a range of artists such as Miki, Faux Real, Nourished by Time, Lynks, SPIDER, Master Peace, and TaliaBle. This continues the tradition started with ‘Volume 1’, released in 2021, which featured Mount working with emerging talents like Peckham’s Pinty and Biig Piig.
