Portugal’s Bubba Brothers just presented their new EP entitled ‘Diva’, which blends traditional house rhythms with emotional depth. The release is now available via Mossdeep Sounds.
‘Diva’ is a heartfelt tribute from Eliseu to their pet, Nikki. It symbolizes their deep bond and is rich with sentimental value. It mirrors Nikki’s inspiring spirit and the duo’s enduring love for their late pet. Eliseu states, “She was more than a companion; she was the soul and diva of the home,”
The opening track, ‘Diva’, features elegant vocals that blend seamlessly with the distinct Brazilian percussion. Progressing over six minutes, it builds to a mainstream crescendo and drop, setting the tone for the rest of the EP.
The second track, ‘Extasia’, introduces a more subdued percussive element, highlighted by an energetic electro-house-inspired bassline.
The final track, ‘Music is my Drug’, encapsulates the ‘Diva EP’. It stands out with a continuous bassline reminiscent of late 90s rave sounds and a memorable, catchy melody.
