The British artist announced this today in an Instagram post.
Michael Bibi, the DJ/producer and founder of Solid Grooves, has confirmed he’s cancer-free after following a strict treatment during the second half of 2023.
“After 6 months of fighting I leave hospital officially in remission with no cancer in my body,”, Bibi posted on his socials, adding, “To every person that sent me the support, energy & strength to fight I thank you from the bottom of my heart & to the staff @royalmarsden for literally saving my life I will forever be in your debt. Thank you so much.”
In the past June, Michael revealed his diagnosis of CNS Lymphoma, a rare form of brain and spinal cancer. Later after 4 months of treatment, in September, he confirmed he left the hospital followed by a surprise appearance at the closing of Solid Grooves in Ibiza to play a 1-hour set. Today he has revealed he’s cancer-free, also commenting, “I’m still very tired, I’m on a lot of meds, my body hurts & my hairs all gone….but I’m excited to get home, process, heal & prepare for the future with you all.”
Different messages of encouragement have come from several artists and friends including names such as Dixon, Diplo, Amelie Lens, Rampa, Damian Lazarus, and many more.
