Vlad Starque, a talented DJ and producer from Vilnius, Lithuania, is making a name for himself in the music scene. With 10 years of experience, Vlad has become a regular performer at Lithuania’s top bars and clubs, captivating audiences with his unique blend of Indie dance, Melodic techno, and Organic house styles.

As the host of the Cosmology Radioshow on the local station Power Hit Radio, Vlad continues to share his love for music. He is also a resident of the well-known Ultimo Paradiso label, solidifying his reputation as an emerging talent.
Recently, EG had the chance to interview Vlad Starque to learn more about his latest EG Spotlight.255 and explore his upcoming projects and future plans.
EG: Hi Vlad, welcome to EG! How has your production journey led you to Ultimo Paradiso?
Vlad Starque: Thanks for the invite. I’ve been a fan of Spada for a long time before the label started its life and was among the first followers when he announced the launch of Ultimo Paradiso. At that period, I had just finished my first EP and decided to try submitting it – luck turned to me, and they were impressed!
The journey started 1.5 years ago, and during this period, we became friends, had a couple of great performances together across Europe, and just launched my 3rd release on the label. I feel proud to be a resident of Ultimo Paradiso and am very thankful for this unforgettable experience!
EG: Nice. Tell us, what is the scene like in your hometown of Vilnius?
Vlad Starque: My hometown has a great scene for electronic music. Only this year, we had major acts like Dixon, Âme, DJ Tennis, and Sven Väth upcoming in November. Vilnius people are also big fans of techno, and there are many communities across making great events. However, melodic techno is a genre that is not considered “underground”, so it is definitely harder to promote it here. But I do my best to spread it by organizing parties with my partner Kole Audro, hosting a melodic techno dedicated ‘Cosmology’ radio show on the biggest station Power Hit Radio, and of course, producing new records!
EG: Who are some producers/DJs that you admire and why?
Vlad Starque: Colyn is one of my favorite producers at the moment. I’m very impressed with each track structure he makes and how great the sound design is. I’m also a really big fan of Spada’s productions. This guy has a special talent for making catchy melodies! The next ones are my brothers from France, AGAP. They are a very talented and humble duo, and I believe they have great potential and will grow very fast! Last but not least – Indie Elephant. He is my close friend from Ukraine, and at one point, he just changed my understanding of music with the simplicity and energy he provides in every track.

EG: What has been your most memorable dance floor moment?
Vlad Starque: So far, my most memorable moment was my first performance in Riga, Latvia, in November 2022. The energy was outstanding, and the crowd was very supportive. Since then, I have come back many times to perform in different Riga clubs. This city has a special place in my heart!
EG: What inspires you to produce music?
Vlad Starque: I am a kind of introversive person, so music production for me is more about expressing myself, sharing my feelings with different people, and creating emotions. It is a way to communicate with the world and give people my energy!
EG: What has been your biggest challenge so far?
Vlad Starque: My recent performance at Vilnius TV Tower, playing a 1-hour set of only my own productions at a height of 170 meters! It took many sleepless nights and a lot of stress, but it was absolutely worth it. I will definitely remember this experience for the rest of my life.
EG: What would be your dream DJ gig?
Vlad Starque: My dream (or goal) for the near future is to have a beach party during sunset.

EG: If you could create one rule for the music scene, what would it be?
Vlad Starque: Keep it real. Nowadays, many people pretend to be someone they are not, just to sell themselves for a higher price. It’s truly sad how the pursuit of money changes people’s minds.
EG: If you could raise awareness on one global issue, what would it be?
Vlad Starque: I would raise awareness on saving animals. All creatures deserve a life free from fear and pain.
