Ricardo Villalobos to reissue ‘Alcachofa’ 20 years after its original release

With new tracks and expanded edition.

After two decades since its original release, Ricardo Villalobos’ first album ‘Alcachofa’ is set to be reissued, accompanied by three additional tracks. The re-release, planned for later this month, will now span four vinyl records instead of the original three, providing fans with new music to explore.

The three new tracks included in the reissue are ‘Bach To Back’, ‘Y.G.H.’, and ‘Waiworinao’. Although these tracks were not featured on the original 2003 vinyl, two of them were included in the CD version.

‘Alcachofa’, initially released via Playhouse, showcases some of Villalobos’ timeless classics, including ‘Dexter’ and ‘Easy Lee’. This reissue comes after previous re-releases of ‘Alcachofa’ by Playhouse in 2011, and Villalobos’ own Sei Es Drum label in 2015, where he reissued ‘Easy Lee’ and ‘Dexter’.

The re-release of Ricardo Villalobos’ ‘Alcachofa’ is scheduled to be available via Perlon on October 27.
